Travel by car
From London: Take the M4 motorway west-bound towards ‘South-west and Wales’. Exit at Junction 18 (A46 towards Bath), and follow the signs into Bath. On approaching the centre (approximately 10 miles from leaving the motorway), turn left onto Cleveland bridge and follow the signs to Bristol, Exeter and Wells (A36). Turn right at the traffic lights at Sydney Place and continue beyond Bathwick roundabout. We are on Pulteney Road (A36) itself, about 150 metres from the traffic lights/ railway bridge, on the left-hand side.
From the Midlands: Take the M5 motorway south-bound towards Bristol. Exit at junction 15 onto the M4. Continue until junction 18 at which point take A46 to Bath and follow directions as above.

The guest house does not have private parking. However, off-street parking in a restricted zone close to the guest house is available to guests, together with a parking permit which is issued by us free of charge.
Travel by train
Bath Spa railway station is just 90 minutes away from London Paddington by high speed train and 15 minutes from Bristol Temple Meads, with direct connections there to Scotland and North West England, Wales, West Midlands and South West England. A limited service is also available to Bath direct from London Waterloo. For information on train travel to and from airports, see ‘travel by air’, below.

The guest house is approximately 7 - 10 minutes walk from Bath Spa railway station. From there, leave via the main entrance and continue in a straight direction across the road, past the Royal Hotel and police station (on your right) and at the second set of traffic lights, turn right onto North Parade. Continue across the bridge, over the river and past the cricket ground on your right until another set of traffic lights at the end of the road. Turn right onto Pulteney Road, crossing the road using the pedestrian crossing underneath the railway bridge as you do so. Continue for another 200 metres approximately, past the turn for Pulteney Gardens (on your left) and the Royal Oak pub (over on your right). We are then on the left on Pulteney road, opposite Broadway.
Travel by coach
National Express runs a network of coaches across the UK, including London to Bath. Although coach travel generally takes longer than by train, it is often much cheaper. Travel by air
The nearest international airport is at Bristol where flights are available to and from Newcastle, Manchester, Plymouth, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Belfast and Dublin as well as many other cities across Europe such as Nice, Paris, Prague, Barcelona, Munich, Amsterdam and Brussels. There are also selected flights available from USA, the Caribbean and parts of Africa. For more information, go to www.bristolairport.co.uk. An express coach service is available every 15 minutes at peak times to take you from the airport to Bristol Temple Meads railway station, which is 15 minutes to Bath by train.
For travellers coming via Heathrow, visit www.heathrowairport.com. Both underground trains (www.tfl.gov.uk/tube) via the Piccadilly and Circle or District lines and express trains (www.heathrowexpress.com) are available to take travellers to and from London Paddington railway station. A rail-air link via Reading is also available for travellers using Heathrow airport, which includes coach from Heathrow to Reading and express train from Reading to Bath (www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk). Trains also run from Gatwick Airport (www.gatwickairport.com) to Reading, where travellers can change there to catch a direct train to Bath (1 hour).
